Hi everyone.
I know that many of you aren't subscribed to the GitHub notifications,
so this is a quick invitation to take a look...
Jan has just posted a rather extensive PR to GitHub in order to get
feedback on a proposed new shared system for preferences that can
be used from all parts of the code (C, C++, QML) in a consistent
manner.
https://github.com/Subsurface-divelog/subsurface/pull/1423 <https://github.com/Subsurface-divelog/subsurface/pull/1423>
I'd love to see a constructive discussion on the ideas and
implementation proposed. This is a significant investment in time and
effort and it's a core part of our software - so I'm interested in seeing
this go well :-)
The timing is perfect - having something like this go in soon after a
release makes the most sense. But right no it's not yet ready for that.
/D
