Subsurface map after filtering dives

Dear Lubomir,

The interaction between the dive list and the map is pretty interesting.
On the map there is an option to highlight, in the dive list, only those
dives shown on the map. This is a great feature.

There is the possibility to do the opposite: When the filter tool is
used to manipulate the dive list, only show the filtered dives on the
map. This would be extremely useful to rapidly answer questions such as
"Where have I dived with a drysuit?" or "Where have I dived with John
Smith as my buddy?". Since this is UI stuff I am wary of it and you are
the most knowledgeable to express an opinion on the issue.

Kind regards,

willem

isn't possible to filter the divelist and after the list is filtered,
selecting the filtered dives which would result on the map focusing on
the selection?

Not possible on my machine (Ubuntu 18.04 running Subsurface 4.8.1-29).
Willem, i just tested this with the master branch from yesterday and it works.

- i've added a "boat" tag to a couple of dives
- filtered the list to only show "boat" tagged dives.
- selected both dives in the filtered list and the map zoomed over them.

Hi Lubomir,

Attached a screendump using V4.8.1-249 (current version). I hope it is
finger trouble on my side! Only dives at one dive site selected (the one
in the middle of the map). Only these dives shown in dive list. All
dives in filtered list (one site only) selected, but all dive sites in
the mapping area are shown. If I zoom out, all my dive sites are shown
on the map. The same happens when I use any other key in the filter
dialog (at least any other key that I selected).

Any suggestions?

Kind regards,

willem

i don't think i have any.

i tested this in a couple of different scenarios and it works for me.
have a look:

if this still doesn't work for you better file an issue report and
provide a minimal divelog with details how to reporduce, but i'm not
sure when i'm going to be able to look at that.
